Lost wax candlestick

Bronze candlestick cast from the form of a burnt candle using the lost wax process.
The spilt pools & drips of melted wax down the outside of a burnt candle have been cast in metal & now provide a sturdy base / support for new candles. The candlestick itself is formed by pouring bronze into the void left in a sacrificial ceramic mould after the original wax candle had been melted out.
